| Dr. Scott Giacomucci, DSW, LCSW, BCD, FAAETS, CP, PAT is a certified trauma treatment specialist and licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania. He completed his doctorate in clinical social work (DSW) at the University of Pennsylvania where his dissertation focus was on bringing sociometry, psychodrama, and experiential trauma group therapy into social work practice/education. Scott is the Founder/Director of the Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy in Media & West Chester, PA and teaches psychodrama at Bryn Mawr College's graduate social work program.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress; Board-Certified Diplomate of Clinical Social work; and holds certifications as an EMDR practitioner and EMDR consultant. He holds the role of Director of Experiential Trauma Services at Mirmont Treatment Center serving a variety of populations including young adults and emergency responders (veterans, police, fire, etc..) in both individual therapy and group sessions. He is a certified Trainer in the Therapeutic Spiral Model (TSM) of trauma-focused psychodrama and experiential therapy.
Scott has presented at international, national, and local events, while also offering experiential trauma therapy workshops at local universities, conferences, treatment centers, and recovery homes. His practice is an approved provider of CEU's for mental health practitioners in Pennsylvania.
Scott offers a monthly psychodrama training workshop in Bryn Mawr, PA as well as frequent guest lectures and community events.
